       This kit is mainly used for quantitative determination of human luteinizing hormone (hLH) in human serum in vitro.

Human luteinizing hormone (hLH) is a glycoprotein hormone secreted by the anterior pituitary. In women, during follicular phase, LH and FSH promotes follicular maturation, synthesis and secretion of estrogen; promotes ovulation and change the follicle after ovulation into the corpus luteum and promote the growth of interstitium; it also promote the synthesis of lutein and the secretion of progesterone and estrogen, male LH promote testicular stromal cell proliferation and promote the synthesis and secretion of testosterone. Since the role of FSH and hLH is synergistic with each other, the two are often measured simultaneously.

        The kit uses a sandwich method. Microplates were coated with one antibody to make a solid-phase antibody and the other labeled with HRP into HRP-antibody. hLH (standard or test sample) and HRP- antibody are added to the wells coated with the antibody to form a complex called antibody-antigen-HRP labeled antibody. The unbound HRP-antibody was removed after the immunoreaction, the luminescence was measured with a photon counter after adding the luminescent substrate. With the increase of hLH concentration, the luminescence value gradually increases and keep a linear relation. Use method such as four parameters, double logarithmic, point-to-point polylines, splines and so on, the instrument software will automatically calculate the hLH content of the sample.
